DotA Captains League Death Company in collaboration with Damage Inc. have organized a revolutionary event for the DotA lovers.  "DCL" is not just another mere tournament for the DotA players to get together and pwn each other and prove themselves. This is an event that will help the players to share their experiences, work with different teams and new members, improve and evolve and sharpen their in-game skills. Improving the overall quality DotA game play in the country. What is DCL? DotA Captains League (DCL) is a league type champion series between 8 – 10 teams. Each team is captained by a Pro DotA player in the country. Each captain is selected after carefully evaluating his/ her gaming skills and taking their leadership qualities in to consideration. The Inner Works of DCL Each captain will get a 1000 points, and the captains can “bid” for the participants who’re registered for the tournament. The captains will choose their players according to their skills, game play methods and depending on the type of team they want to put together. The teams will be balanced and equal in skill. Then each newly formed team will get a time period of approximately 4 weeks before the final showdown in Ground Zero where the action will take place. After that it’s a fight to the death. Any enthusiastic DotA player can take part in the distinctive e-sporting event, BUT there will be a screening process to make sure that the participants above a certain skill level will be included in the tournament. This only to maintain a level of game play. But this is not very strict, we need to know if you know the inner workings of the game to take part in a tournement level, after all, the enthusiastic gamer should have a chance at the fun and excitment... So what makes this so special?? It’s not the fancy works of bidding and captains that makes this a very special event. It’s the fact that participants will get some of the most veteran DotA players to share their knowledge and experience with gamers who are less experienced. The participants will cut loose from their existing teams and clans, their “routine” game play and open up to something totally different and new. This will force the players to set aside their differences, egos and work with other strange yet not so strange bunch of people, bond and work towards a common goal; building all important team work skills-one of the most important traits in both virtual and real life. How to become a part of it? Simple just hop in to www.dcl.deathcompany.org and complete the registration form. Remember, you CANNOT register as a team; that takes away all the meaning of this tournament. Individual registrations only, each player have to register themselves seperately. And have a game play demo handy to submit at the registration, coz you have to submit it along with the registration form. What is this gonna cost me? Nothing costs nothing. Even though we try not to the current economy wouldn’t allow us to do things for free anymore. We’re charging a little Rs.300 as administration fees. This should be paid at the gate, 29th August 2009.
